We know that choosing a secondary school is an important decision for families and hope that the information contained in these pages, along with the opportunity to visit the school at our Open Evening and Open Morning, will provide you with all the information that you need to make an informed choice. Should you choose us, you will be joining John O’Gaunt School at an exciting time. As we build on our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, we’re continuing to develop a school with ‘big school ambition, small school care’. In other words, a place where every child can thrive and receive the broad and high-quality education you would expect of any larger secondary school, but where our smaller size means children are truly known and really cared for. As a member of the Excalibur Academies Trust, you will also be choosing a school which is part of a strong network and one which puts the children they serve at the heart of the school community. We strive to carefully cultivate an environment that is international in its outlook, and which encourages independent learners whose individual potential can be realised.
