Prize Giving and an inspirational ‘woman in agriculture.’ ‘No stone unturned to ensure a fantastic night for your students.’

Strong rural communities, employment & connection are of course, very close to our hearts at John O’Gaunt. So it was a particular pleasure to welcome the wonderful Eleanor Gilbert to speak at our Prize Giving Evening, and help us celebrate the brilliant achievements and efforts of our fabulous students. Eleanor is a farmer and an incredibly influential ambassador for women and young people in agriculture and all its science and technology – but she is also a tireless champion for the countryside, and an excellent communicator. She writes a column in Out and About Magazine, is a Social Media and You Tube influencer on farming and the countryside at @BerkshireFarmGirl and @LittleBigFarm, and, as she says, ‘growing interest in agriculture.’ She is also BBC Countryfile’s Young Countryside Champion!
Students, Staff and School Governors enjoyed hearing Eleanor speak eloquently and inspirationally about her journey and career in agriculture. Not stopping there, Eleanor also gets involved in fundraising, donating her speaker’s fee to her campaign for Thames Valley Air Ambulance. Her Just Giving page, #EllysWelly, can be found below.
The ‘Berkshire Farm Girl’ said ‘what a fantastic and caring environment Jog School is. No stone unturned to ensure a fantastic night for your students – Governors and teaching staff go above and beyond!
